New York City Major Michael Bloomberg quit the GOP on Tuesday becoming a registered independent; political analysts suggest Bloomberg's move could sanction his intention to enter the presidential run, a possibility that would make the 2008 Presidential election the most crowded and unpredictable ever.

Bloomberg refused to rule out a presidential run during his visit to California this week.

Analysts speculate that Bloomberg's move was made necessary by some states' rules which it hard for people to run as non-party registered candidates if they’re registered to a party in their home state.

The 2008 Presidential election could become the most crowded and unpredictable ever should Mike Bloomberg officially announce his intention to run as independent.

With Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama fighting for the Democratic nomination, Rudolf Giuliani undisputed frontrunner for the Republican Party and Wayne Allyn Root frontrunner for the Libertarian party Bloomberg's presidential run could easily open the doors for an unpredictable result.

Both Democrats and Republicans seem to lean on playing the card of the first ever nominee, being that a woman, a candidate of African American origin or Italian origin, all choices that could play in favor of "all American" candidates like Michael Bloomberg or Wayne Allyn Root.

The possible success of an independent or libertarian candidate in such fractioned scenario appears to be the least unlikely compared to previous independent or libertarian runs.

Bloomberg's position of NYC Major could play as a determining factor in gathering votes from both Democratic and Republican voters in the North East. Wayne Allyn Root's support of online poker and online gambling in general grants him the benevolent support of an estimate of 30 million Americans without considering the expected support in his home state, Nevada.

“I think my base of support [among online poker players] will make me the most influential third party candidate ever, but I am not a one issue candidate." Wayne Root said in a recent interview with Poker Player News. "I just believe that this one issue is symptomatic of everything that is wrong with government today; Telling people they can’t play poker on their own computer in their own home with their own money is simply outrageous.”

abortion

Huckabee has a deft shot at getting the nominee once things play out as he
can tap into the Evangelical base
