My first predict for this year Master Cup tour. I think that last result were very frustrating for players that bet on strong favorites. Djokovic two loses, Federer loss to Gonzalez and Gasquet beat Nadal, in my opinion only few were able to predict it. I think now games in Shanghai will stabilize and we will see less matches where strong underdog wins. Tomorrow we will watch clash of Andy Roddick and last Federer slayer Fernando Gonzalez. Andy is a small favorite here and I think it's worth to try. Both of them played one match here, Andy toked victory over Nikolay Davydenko (2:1) and as I mentioned Gonzalez spectacularly won with no. 1 Roger Federer (2:1). They played last time in 2006 and Andy leads in h2h 6:3, last time Gonzalez had won after a very equal battle. Both of them before the Masters Cup were in very unknown form and even a little bit disappointment. Gonzalez give up a lot of "easy for him" matches and Andy didn't play since US Open but it seems that he used that time well. With Davydenko his game maybe wasn't perfect but still we saw American hunger for game and success. I think motivation that surely grew up after first win will rise and Andy will play better and better from match to match and his minimum goal is to reach semis. If he won't win with Gonzalez to reach it he will need to win with Federer which for him is the worst nightmare (h2h 11:2). Gonzalez is much more chimeric player and American for me is much more solid and plays without any strange moments of distraction. In my opinion (and hope) Fernando won't be able to play in such high level that he played against Federer, it's just not that kind of player and after win with Federer he could only win with Davydenko to reach semis, probably. In this group everything is still open but I think that Andy can play better than with Davydenko and Gonzo will low his power in this clash, we will see. Theirs last match stats are very equal so I can only say that Fernando show better tennis with Federer but still I don't think that he will keep it for tomorrow.
