Mardle Vs Lloyd
This Essex boys class looks like it should be a great match, possibly the match of the night.
Its a straight shoot out here and the winner could well end up with a very favourable draw against Gary Mawson in the last 16 and a great chance of a Q/F berth.
Both these players can be quite brilliant on their day but i fancy Colin Lloyd to get the better of this encounter. Lloyd hit a good 91 average against an in form Taylor who shot an average of 104 and the 5-1 defeat didnt really reflect his performance. Lloyd peppered 11 140's in his 5-3 win over Baxter and a very good average of 99+
Mardle will need to improve his scoring if Lloyd keeps up his current form, Mardle has a mid 80s average from his opening 2 matches and needs to put 10 points on top of that to win tonight.
Im gonna take Lloyd -1.5 in the handicap tonight @2.2 i think his more consistant darts will see him through and if he put Mardle under early pressure Mardle has a habit of sliding into the 5 too often.
